ISEA Fall Conference 2008
This YearÕs Fall Conference took place November 7, 2008 - November 8, 2008 at the Historic Union Station and Crowne Plaza in Indianapolis, Indiana. While in Indianapolis, our members attended several beneficial professional development sessions, listened to outstanding guest speakers, and most importantly, had fun spending time with each other! Here are some great highlights from the busy and exciting weekend!

Members were wide-awake for the first session of the day, entitled
ÒFirst Days of School.Ó Information included what to expect
before receiving a teaching position, during interviews, on the first
day of school, throughout the entire first year, and much more.

After their first conference session of the evening, these SEA

Conference session topics included Membership Recruitment,
Outreach to Teach, ISEA Grants, Awards, & Scholarships, and
Political Issues in Education. Members chose which session to
attend.

Two of the SEA first-year members were very excited about arriving at the
Conference. The conference was full of various professional development
workshops, all of which consisted of fun and interactive activities.
